Wally’s Desert Turtle is a fine dining experience you won’t want to miss! It’s located just a short drive from downtown Palm Springs, so if you’re staying in one of our Palm Springs Vacation rentals, it’s only a 15 or 20 minute car ride. This fine dining establishment is a creation of Wally Botello, who founded the well known chain of restaurants, The Velvet Turtle. The design includes sparkling lights, beveled mirrored ceilings, artifacts from Peru, and hand-painted murals that create a warm, inviting atmosphere of culinary elegance.

This full service fine dining establishment offers everything from Hors d’Oeuvres, soups and salads, entrees, pastas and delightful desserts.

They offer an extensive wine list from around the world by the bottle and a variety of wines and champagne by the glass.

Cold Appetizers include Scottish Marinated Salmon, Jumbo Shrimp from the Sea of Cortez, and Caviar, of course. Hot starters include Escartots “en Pomme de Terre” and Dungeoness and Blue Crab Cakes.

If you’re going for dinner, entrees range from a variety of fillets, to traditional free range roasted chicken breast, veal, duck, deer and lamb.

Desserts include a selection of souffles, Baked Alaska, Lava Cake, Creme Brulee and of course a variety of ice creams and sorbet.

L.G.’s Prime Steakhouse

L.G’s Prime Steakhouse’s is one of Palm Springs’ locally owned restaurants. Their commercials are a standard on Palm Springs television since the early 90′s. They call themselves “Prime” as it’s the best standard the USDA has for beef.

They offer nine different prime cuts of beef at their restaurant. Other items include fresh fish, lobster tail, chicken breasts, and a table-side Caesar Salad! Their wine list has over 500 selections, making it the largest wine list of any steakhouse in Palm Springs.

So, if you love a thick steak and a great glass of wine, this is a great choice for dinner while you’re staying in one of our Palm Springs Vacation Homes. They also have locations in La Quinta and Palm Desert.

If you’re in town on vacation, and you’re hungry for a little caviar or smoked salmon, you may want to make a reservation at this restaurant. Le Vallauris Restaurant features Mediterranean French California cuisine.

Located in a restored historical landmark, Le Vallauris is decorated with tapestries, Louis XV furniture, and a multitude of flowers that surrounds a beautiful tree-lined patio that is heated and air cooled.

It’s one of Palm Springs’ most well-known fine dining establishments and provides an evening of great food and five star service.

If you’re staying near the downtown area and want to try something cosmopolitan, try Johannes. Located right in the heart of the downtown Palm Springs area, off of Indian Canyon and Arenas, this restaurant serves a variety of Pan – Asian – Austrian Cuisine.

Menu items include grilled stuffed quail, salmon, ahi tuna and avocado tartare, as well as thai shrimp curry, Australian grass fed beef tenderloin and even weiner snitzel. The restaurant also features an excellent wine list for the wine connoisseurs in your group.
