Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert

The Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert is a hands-on experience that inspires and promotes intellectual curiosity and self-expression through inventive and interactive exhibits and programs. It helps children learn about themselves and the world around them by exploring the environment and community. The Museum welcomes children of all ages placing particular emphasis on primary school age children.

See historical objects and photos, learn about the railroads, farming, and even enjoy an authentic Japanese Garden.

The Center is open October through May

Admission: $3 Adults – $2 Senior – Students and Children under 10 Free (accompanied by adults)
Hours: Thursday, Friday and Saturday – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Cabot’s Pueblo Museum

Cabot’s Pueblo Museum is a 35 room actual pueblo that has been created entirely from found materials. It’s located in Desert Hot Springs, just a 15 minute car ride from the Downtown Palm Springs area.

It houses a variety of Pueblo inspired art, including pottery, needle arts, photography, papermaking, woodcarving, flint knapping, basket making, southwest jewelry, fine art desertscapes, and watercolors.

When you visit, you’ll find the artists working in the museum courtyard. The Museum also provides tours of the local Indian pueblos.

A three story art museum in the heart of downtown Palm Springs! Uncover a variety of ways to escape, reflect, learn, create and become inspired.

Find something for everyone in our galleries, special exhibitions, and sculpture gardens. The Museum also houses the Annenberg Theatre which celebrates the Visual and Performing Arts in style!

Every Thursday from 4pm to 8pm the Museum opens its doors to the public for free, so if you’re going to Village Fest, why not take a tour of some of Palm Springs’ finest artwork as well to complete your evening?

The Palm Springs Air Museum is a non-profit educational institution that is an icon among travelers who love to fly and enjoy the history of flying. Their mission is to exhibit, educate and eternalize the role of the World War II combat aircraft and the role the pilots and American citizens had in achieving this great victory.

In addition to flying aircraft, related artifacts, artwork, and library sources are used to perpetuate American history. If you love planes and history, this is a great museum to visit – bring the whole family too!
